James (Jim) Arthur William Moores passed at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the age of 75. Beloved partner to Shirley Stewart; father to Mark & Melissa, Marlene & Dwayne, and Brad & Laken; grandfather to Jaden and Wren. Predeceased by wife Karen.
Jim loved to laugh and made the best of dad/grandad puns at every opportunity. He enjoyed golfing, dancing, and spending time with loved ones, though his keen interest in personal finance often saw him watching the news, reading the paper, and following the stock market. Never one to let a beautiful day go to waste, you could often find him puttering in either the flower or vegetable gardens. Jim was a treasure who will be greatly missed by all his relatives, friends, neighbours, and coworkers.
Celebration of Jim's life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
A tree will be planted in memory of Jim in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 20th Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
