Peacefully at Tall Pines in Brampton on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Waltraud (2018). Dear father of Gabriela (Daniel) Landry and Christopher Flentje and the late Michael (Arlene) Flentje. Cherished Opa of Michael (Kate) Landry, Jason (Shari) Landry, and Julia (Alexander) Terry, Great Opa to Zoe, Mae, Eleanor and Cooper. Predeceased by his sister Hannelore (Dieter) Geburt and his sister-in-law Margarete (Bruno) Pohse. Remembered by his brother-in-law Rolf (Gisela) Albrecht and his nephews and nieces; Peter (Nancy) Geburt, Michael (Arlene) Geburt, Thomas (Elizabeth) Geburt, Christina (Ken) Caetano, Cornelia (Michael) Burns, Sabine (Marc) Pohse, Beate Pohse, Martina (Bernd) Blume, Thomas (Carmen) Albrecht, Michael (Ines) Albrecht and the late Claudia Geburt and Bruno Pohse. Predeceased by his parents Hermann and Ursula Flentje (nee Paganetti).
Hans will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Hans's Life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m., with words of remembrance at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Hans in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
