Hanna Michalke passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her home in Orangeville at the age of 101 with her family by her side. Born in Germany Dec 20. 1919 she came to Canada in 2001.
A true inspiration to all of us she was humble, kind, generous, compassionate and loving.
Her 100th Birthday was an event she truly enjoyed and even danced a Waltz.
Hanna was predeceased by her husband Martin (Peter, 1983). She leaves behind her sister Lilo in Germany; 4 daughters: Heide, Margot (Helmut), Monika (Les), Barb (Henry); 7 grandchildren: Sabine (Martin), Sebastian, Eric, Martin, Larissa (Trevor), Menora (Shamil), Yanara (Arash); 10 great-grandchildren: Jasper, Jonathan, Rasmus, Tristan, Parker, Griffin, Jasper, Wyatt, Tamerlan and her name sake Hannah.
A special thanks goes to Les for being a part of her life. For the care of her final days our gratitude goes to Dr. Mauro, Dr. Joyce, the great Doctor's and nurses at Headwaters Emergency, the caring and professional nurses from Bayshore, Adam and Paul from Ontario Home Health, Comfort Keepers and Terry from Dods and McNair who with a little push brought it all together.
A tree will be planted in memory of Hanna in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The next annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
