Dear Karen, Tom, Sue and the Ryan family,
I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Emma. Your mom was a warrior, a true matriarch, a classy and classic lady, and fierce in her approach to living. I loved hearing her stories of raising her family, which she would tell with a knowing smile on her face and no apologies. Like when she told of the time Karen fell out of a tree. ‘Kids will be kids... it was fine’.
There are so many lessons that we all take from your mom...
She always treated me and my son, Jack, like family - so gracious and accepting. And she loved visiting with Jack, as we did with her.
So many of us were blessed to have had the privilege of knowing Emma.
She will be missed.
My deepest condolences to you all. May your memories bring you comfort during these times.
You all are in my heart and prayers 😘
Love Randi and Jack (Elkind)

I remember my Godmother as strong and courageous and a woman ahead of her time. To me she was sophisticated and kind and funny. I loved talking with her. While I didn't have opportunity to spend time with her frequently, she is someone I modeled my life after. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends who had the wonderful fortune to have her in their lives every day.

I remember the times as a child when the Nesbitt's spent time with the Ryans and the many Christmas's. I remember sleeping over. Central to all this was Aunt Emma ( Sunny ). She was a wonderful lady and everyone who knew her feels the loss. RIP Aunt Emma
