O'Gorman, Edward Suddenly on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Marie Field. Cherished father of Brendan (Suzie) and Audrey Dales (Patrick). Devoted Granda of Siobhain, Ashley, Collin, and Cecilia. Proud Great-Granda of Caiomhe and Ceire. Remembered by his sisters Ann, Nuala, Eileen, and Margaret. Predeceased by his parents Christopher and Mary (Murphy), his infant grandson Edward, his brother Christy and his sister Maura. Special thanks to Eddie's loving caregiver and comforting friend, Bernadette. Eddie will be missed by his in-laws, nephews and nieces in Ireland, Canada, and Florida. Eddie loved a good chat and laugh with anyone who had a willing ear. He enjoyed working on projects in his garage and fixing just about anything he could get his hands on. Ed experienced the heart-wrenching loss of his cherished wife, Marie, just five months ago. Their souls have found profound joy as they have become inseparable once more, forevermore. "See! I will not forget you, I have carved you on the palm of My hand." (Isaiah 49:15).



Funeral service will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. Memorial donations to Bethell Hospice in Marie and Ed’s memory would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted in memory of Ed in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 21st Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
