Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Monday, August 22nd, 2022 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Mildred Hankinson. Dear father of Karen (Peter), Ken (Nicci), Kathy, Kim (Paul). Grandfather of Darryl, Eric, Michael, Jesse, Kyle, Paul jr., Jessica, Melissa, Tyler, Justin. Great grandfather of Cassidy, Brendon, Ethan, Sophia, Chloe, Joe, Myles, Mason, Mariah, Matthew, Melody.
Douglas will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St Orangeville on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 at 3:30 pm. Visitation will begin at 2:30 pm. Reception to follow.
A tree will be planted in memory of Douglas in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 20th Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
