Suddenly at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Nadene Cartwright. Dear father of Dawn Cartwright and the late Dougie Cartwright (2018) (Melanie). Cherished Poppa of Bradon, Chelsea, Dominick and Dakota. Big Poppa to Blake. Dearest son of Emily Cooney and the late Edgar Cartwright. Remembered by his sisters Deborah Morrow (Brian) and Dale Morrow (John) and his brothers Dennis (Best Friend) and Donnie. Douglas will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, who were extended children to him, other relatives and many friends. Doug will be sadly missed by his Birch Cove Family.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. (All are welcome to the visitation RSVP is not required only to attend the funeral service) Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. (RSVP IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE SERVICE).
A tree will be planted in memory of Douglas in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
