Dieter passed away peacefully in the morning of Friday, October 15, 2021 with his wife of 58 years by his side. He is survived by his wife and best friend Helga. Dear father of Bernhard (Frieda), Wilfried (Yin) and Bianka (Andrew). Cherished Opa of Megan, Jessica, David, Alexandra, David, and Joshua. Dieter will also be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Reception will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with words of remembrance at 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Dieter in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
