My Brother Mike and I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you a little about our Mom. They say that earth Angels are all around us; and our Mother was most definitely exactly that; “A Beautiful Earth Angel”. Like all other Earth Angels life is not always easy but rather quite the opposite. Looking back now despite any emotional and physical pain she may have endured, It made her stronger and molded her into the person she became. God has a plan for everyone and knowing Mom, it was very clear what that divine plan would be.

Mom was a warrior above all, for not only loved ones but complete strangers. If someone needed any kind of help she would not hesitate. We often hear that someone would give the shirt of their back to help another. Our Mom literally gave a complete stranger her winter coat who was in need; and that is one very small example of her selflessness. If someone was in a dangerous or threatening circumstance, our Mother would be the very first person to come to the rescue despite any potential danger. Her innate ease to forgive was one of her greatest qualities even as a “warrior”. Please understand that the terminology “warrior” in reference to our mother is one who would do anything to protect others at any cost.

Mom was a Healer with a Beautiful heart. Seeing anyone of us in any kind of distress would put her into her “Healer Mode”, and no matter how she was feeling or whatever her personal circumstances were, she would put everything aside to come to the rescue. Again; this quality extended way beyond her loved ones.

Mom LIVED her Life. Our Mom has done so many things in her life which some would call a “Great Adventurist”. I have never met a person who has truly tried pretty much everything in life. Swimming with the sharks is only one small example and if ever I wrote a book, I would have enough space to write down all of her Great Adventures. That is where Mike is more like our Mom. Mom was extremely proud of her Son Mike! He is forever accomplishing great goals and mastered pretty much everything he tried. He is so much like her in that way and will forever be her “Baby Boy”. Mike also gave Mom Two Beautiful Grandchildren. Caleb who is so much like Mike; a tender loving soul with his own personality and wittiness that makes him shine on his own, and Rochelle who is as spirited as Mom in so many ways. The perfect combination coming to a full circle.

As my sister in law Corinna said: “She Loved fiercely more than anyone else which made you feel safe and protected. She would grab you with her love and you felt like nothing bad could touch or hurt you.”

As for me… My Mom was my Best Friend, my Biggest Fan and my Daily Morning Coffee Date which would go for hours of chatting and laughing. We shared so much in life and our love for Nature and our Spirituality was our greatest passions. Mom always referred to me as her “Special Angel” but truth be known… She was mine.

Mom adored her Grandchildren Violet and Paul. They were the apple of her eye and they spent many a summer camping with her. She was a lot like my Grandmother (Nanny) who took them as if she was their Mom, but spoiled them much more. Paul was “The Wind Beneath Her Wings” and Violet was “Baby Girl”. I always knew my Babies were in the best of care. She also adored her Great Grandchildren: Zachary, Madison from Violet and our newest little sweet bundle of joy Theo from Paul and Stephanie.

As typical Warriors do, they appear to be tough on the exterior and Mom definitely could exude that characteristic however Mom’s heart was kind, loving, gentle and fragile which most did not realize. In the end, it should be of no surprise that her heart is what failed her to end this chapter of her life on earth. Now She is in the hands of God where I know she will be in good hands. I wouldn’t trust her heart with anyone else since I worked so hard at protecting that Beautiful heart from being hurt by anything or anyone.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and those who were lucky enough in this life to be touched by her presence. Now… she is at Peace.

You will forever be missed and “WE LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK”.
