Obituary for Daniel David O'Connell
Daniel David O'Connell, known to his friends as "Dan", passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Dan will be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years, Lorraine McNally, his children Tamara (Andrew) and Tracey (Phil), and his grandchildren Owen and Liam.
A lifelong learner, Dan will be fondly remembered as an inquisitive mind, an animal lover, and a brilliant machinist. Dan's passions included robotics, computers, scuba diving, and photography. He loved mentoring students young and old to pass on his technical knowledge and experience.
A Celebration of Dan's life will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St. Orangeville on September 11th, 2021 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Friends are welcome to share a story or memory of Dan during this celebration.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
