Obituary for Daniel Wayne Fagan
It is with broken hearts we sadly announce the sudden passing of Daniel Wayne Fagan, 63 on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Beloved husband and best friend of Donna, cherished father of Corbie Hannas (Terry) and the late Kyle Fagan. Proud Grampa of Grayson and Maizie.
Dan leaves behind to mourn his loss, his mother Patricia Brouse, in-laws John and Lynda Prain, Lori and Jesse Burrell.
During his career Dan served as a Senior Building Official with the Town of BWG, Chief Building Official for the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio and Building Inspector for the Town of Caledon. Dan was a long time active member of the Ontario Building Official Association.
We will best remember Dan as a warm hearted family man who loved spending time at home with close family and friends. A devoted husband to Donna and father to Corbie and Kyle, their happiness meant everything to Dan.
As a young talented artist Dan attended the Ontario College of Art where he created magical sculptures and drawings that we will treasure forever.
Dan was also a carpenter and loved everything wood, his attention to detail was amazing and made everything he touched very special and unique. Together with Jesse, Dan spent the last few years making improvements on his home to his exact specifications and we are deeply saddened that he did not have more time to enjoy the fruits of his creative labour.
Even with his never ending list of things Dan was working on at home, he was always available to lend a hand, help with a repair, move you with his truck, build you a desk, a bar … a very giving, genuine friend who would only accept your thanks, happy he had made you smile.
Dan, you left us so suddenly changing life forever. While we Believe you have found your way to your son Kyle, we find little comfort, you were such an important piece of our family puzzle, the empty space is huge. In Believing we will be together again, you are never forgotten our Rainbow Walker & will remain forever in our hearts.
Due to Covid-19 a celebration of Dan’s life may take place at a later time when hugs are encouraged however we have prepared a video Tribute for Dan which we invite you to view. We also invite you to share your memories of Dan, photos and messages for family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Hey Babe - as the saying goes “you had me at Hello”, the love of my life, after 40 years of marriage you continued to Rock my world and be my Rock through life’s most difficult moments. While not all our dreams came true, together we created a beautiful life and filled it with love, so difficult to imagine life without you. We do Believe in Forever and until I am back in your arms, I keep you safe in my heart.

A tree will be planted in memory of Daniel in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The next annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
