Obituary for Beatrice Lorraine Fanning (Allen)

In memoriam of Beatrice Lorraine Fanning (nee Allen), who passed away September 20, 2021 at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville at the age of 88. Predeceased by devoted husband, John James “Jack” Fanning, Beatrice is survived by sister Marion Heuchan (Alvin), daughters Sherry Cornelius (Robert – predeceased), Michele Migus (David) and son Terry Bible (Pauline). Loving grandmother to Jeremy (Neil), Jeannette (Matt), Kaitlyn (Devon), Chelsey (Dave), Joshua, Rosanna (Tyler), Rebecca (Alex), Samantha and Thomas. Great grandmother to Mackenna, Aizen, Nathan, Gwendolyn, Benjamin, Henry and Damon.
Beatrice was born in Mono Centre, Ontario, where her heart remained. She spent her life in Dufferin County, with many trips back for walks along the Mono Cliffs and through the ravine. She loved animals and nature, passing that love on to family. She was “mom” to many cats and several dogs over the years. A special thanks to the staff of Headwaters Health Care, Dufferin Oaks Long-Term Care Home and Pastor Gord Horsley for their care of Beatrice in her final years.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a small celebration of life is planned for October 2 in Shelburne, Ontario. A tree will be planted in memory of Beatrice in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
