Barrett Halfyard
February 16, 1936 – September 11, 2023

After a full life at the age of 87, Ira Clarence “Barrett” Halfyard was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, September 11, 2023.
Barrett had a deep faith and leaned on Jesus, spending time with his family, reading his Bible and listening to praise and worship music.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Jeanette Halfyard (nee Peckham), Married 61 years. Loving Dad to Loretta (Tim) Arkell, Carolyn Halfyard, Stephen (Bridget) Halfyard, Brenda Halfyard, Glenn (Phylis) Halfyard, and the late Tanya Faith (1986). Cherished Poppy to Adam, Jeremiah, Mark (Heather), Amanda, Matthew, Nathan (Cheryl), Brittany (Roger), the late Priscilla (2015) and her husband Nick, Kyle, Kevin (Monique), Justin (Brittany), Jennifer (Nick), Olivia, Serafina and his great-grandchildren Keirah, Benjamin, Laurel, Eli, Ethan, Chase, Ariana, Maverick, Everett, Aurora, Sawyer and Paisley. Remembered by his siblings Nina Gallant, Julia Moore and Douglas Halfyard. Missed by sisters and brothers-in-law, George (Violet), Doreen (Alex), Mildred (Gary), as well as numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends.

Barrett was predeceased by his parents Caroline and Henry Halfyard; his in laws Maggie and Sandy Peckham, sisters; Laura, Mary, Mildred, Emma, Annetta, Agnes, brothers; Heber and John. Sister in laws; Rita, Muriel, Brother in laws; Eloyd, Azariah, Ray, James and Jim.

Visitation will be held at Dods and McNair Funeral Home, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Friday September 15th, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Funeral Service will take place at Broadway Pentecostal Church, 556 Broadway Ave West, Orangeville on Saturday September 16th, 2023 at 11:00 am, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Orangeville following the Funeral Service.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Headwaters Foundation.

A tree will be planted in memory of Barrett in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. Our 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
