Obituary

Obituary for Ann Justine Mullin (Lindahl)

ANN JUSTINE MULLIN (née Lindahl)
-----------
It is with sadness that we announce that Ann Justine Mullin succumbed to pancreatic cancer on Monday, October 14, 2019, at the age of 82. Ann was the beloved wife of Geoffrey Trueman Mullin, mother of Kate, Peter, Patrick (Cheryl) and Stuart, and grandmother to Adele and Isla. Born in Port Arthur ON, Ann was the third child of Conrad Lindahl and Agnes Lindahl (Lees). She is survived by her husband Geoffrey, her four children, two grandchildren, her sister Lois and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Gail. Ann and her family resided in Orangeville for more than 50 years. She was a dedicated 35-year volunteer at the Headwaters Health Care Auxiliary and its predecessor, the Dufferin Area Hospital Auxiliary. The Auxiliary plays a critical role in patient care, from escorting patients, to raising funds for equipment purchases. Ann started the Auxiliary’s local House Tour, which became a primary fundraising event for the organization.
Funeral to be held Friday, October 18, 2019 at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville ON, with a Visitation at 1:30 p.m., Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m., and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, Ann requested that donations in her memory be made to the Headwaters Health Care Auxiliary via www.canadahelps.org
The family thanks the wonderful nurses, staff and physicians at Headwaters Health Care Centre.
A tree will be planted in memory of Ann in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. The annual dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com

Geoff,
Wendy and I were so sorry to learn of Ann's passing when we read it in the local paper this evening. We are sorry that we missed the funeral this afternoon. Ann was always such a gracious host of the many get togethers at your home, as well as being a wonderful volunteer at the hospital for so many years.
Our sincerest condolences to you and the family at this time.

Geoff, Katie, Peter and Patrick. Ken and I send your condolences to the family. Believe it or not I have memories of “Aunt Ann” playing with us in Gramma’s back yard and
climbing the tree. She always found time for us. May your wonderful memories ease your pain in the coming days.

Geoff and family
Sincere condolences to all. We have lots of good memories of Ann - the time she brought a kitten over to our house as your Siamese was threatening it. We had him for 12 years!! Encouraging us to send our daughter overseas for summer semester. We shared grandkid pictures at the volunteers desk at Headwaters. She was a pleasure to have known. Our thoughts are with you.

Angelo Ciufo

My heartfelt condolences to all of the Mullin and Lindahl family for their loss. Ann was always kind and generous to me when I visited the home on Broadway with my friend Peter, or at the cottage in Barrow Bay. It has been some time since I last saw Ann, but I do remember her great smile and good humour. I am also fortunate to own one of the chairs she painted - it has been a fixture at our home in Richmond Hill for some years.
