Suddenly at his home in Orangeville, Ontario on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Caroline Payne. Dear Dad of Kevin (Judy), Lorelei Osmond (Floyd), Ivy Hurley (Roddie), Trudy Robillard (Gerry), Amanda Payne (Bobby), Llewelyn Payne (Margaret), Timothy, Kane, Kelly Baker (Vincent). Cherished Pop of Christopher, Juliana, Jennifer, Michael, Heather, Joshua, Anthony, Jonathon, Kristine, Dillen, Samantha, Courtney, Hailey, Mika, Adella, Aria, Tyler and Alicia. Great grandfather of 6. Peter will also be greatly missed by his brothers, sisters, their families and relatives and many friends in Ontario and Newfoundland. Peter will be sadly missed by his best friend Jazzy.
Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville, Ontario on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The family will be receiving family and friends at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Rocky Hr, NL,
on Sunday April 8, 2018, from the hours of 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m., where also the Funeral Service will take place from on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with Canon Terry Rose officiating with the Burial to follow at the Family Plot of the Church Cemetery, in Rocky Hr, NL.
Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Peter in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
