Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the age of 67. Beloved best friend of Vicki Hardie. Dear father of Lisa de Vries (Chad), Ben (Kathleen) and Jonathan (Brooke). Cherished Poppa of Nathan & Kayla de Vries, Sarah, Rebekah & Emmah Hardie and Eli & Eden Hardie. Remembered by his brothers Ian (Nancy), David (Mary), Bruce and sisters Sheila (Kevin) and Janice (Paul). Predeceased by his brother Jim Hardie. Stuart will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Compass Community Church, 246289 Hockley Rd., Mono, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations to Voice of the Martyrs or the Canadian Hemachromatosis Society would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Stuart in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
