It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Mark Raney in his 58th year, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.
Beloved father of Matthew. Cherished son of Maurice (Lorna). Dear brother of Paul (Lynne), Tim (Rita), Greg (Julie), Christine and Grant. Son of Nancy (Doug) Gall. Loved by five nieces and five nephews. Fondly remembered by two uncles and eight cousins from the Sundridge, ON area, as well as other extended family members and many friends.
Mark was the Head Custodian at James Grieve Public School, Caledon, ON (Peel District School Board). He enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his hobby farm. He had a love for children with special needs.
Donations in Mark’s memory may be made to Autism Ontario or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A tree will be planted in memory of Mark in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
