Gardhouse, Elgin James
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Susan Gardhouse (nee Banting). Dear father of Jay (Shelley), Kelly Gardhouse and Erin Radford (Pete). Cherished grandfather of Laura, Avery and Connor. Honorary Grampa Gate of Mallory, Nick and Jenna. Predeceased by his sister Audrey Cuthbert and his brother Neil. Elgin will be sadly missed by his best friend Maggie, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Service will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Ontario Lung Association or Headwaters Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Elgin in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
