Barton, Robert Harry (Cpl. Canadian Armed Forces, Retired)
Very unexpectedly at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the age of 56. Robert Barton, formerly of Coniston (Sudbury), beloved and devoted husband of Louise Barton. Loving father of Nicholas, Kimberly, Shawn and Lisa. Dear brother of Helen Tyson and uncle to Charlotte and Valerie (Erick) of Killarney. Caring brother-in-law to Alison (Ted), Celia (Dave), Eric (Erika) and nieces and nephews: Heather (Ryan), Scott, Hanley, Morgan, Trisha, Cole, Dustin, Quinn, Mitchell and great-uncle to Taylor, Pearl and Brody. Remembered by his mothers-in-law Doreen and Barbara. Robert will also be greatly missed by many friends.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the many helping hands and excellent care of the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit over the past 7 years and the Toronto General Hospital Cardiac and Nephrology Units for giving him a "new lease on life" for the past eight months.

Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with visiting starting at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, Mono, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Robert in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
