Karen,

Like all of your neighbours, we were shocked and saddened to learn of Wally's passing. Everyone on the street who knew Wally was richer for having him in their life and and a little bit poorer now that he isn't.

He was so upbeat and positive regardless if he had just scored a double-bogey or a birdy that everyone of his golfing foursome immediately became his friends.

He was always happy to help a new neighbour whenever he could: local restaurant, shopping and travel tips or homeowner maintenance advice.

But most impressive of all was his grace and humility fighting cancer. He would much rather talk about the weather, errant golf balls from the course, his dogs or the weather than the course of his disease and treatment protocols. He just didn't want the inquisitor to have to worry about him.

In that vain, we will remember him with a smile.

If you ever need a hand in the weeks and months ahead, please call.
