Peacefully at the Brampton Civic Hospital, Brampton on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Ruth Isabella Edgerton (2008). Loving father of Eric and his wife Wendy, Lloyd and his wife Melanee, Bruce and his wife Sharron and Ann Thompson and her husband Mark. Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey (Angela), Kelly (Shawn), Christopher (Monica), Shawn (Karene), Lisa (1979), Kameron (Kim), Brian (Heather), Gary (Laura), Jennifer, Jeremy (Rachael) and Stacey (Mike). Dear great-grandfather of Thalia, Tyler, Laila, Maria, Leo, Liberty, Caleb, Elijah, Katie, Lilly, Maddox, Emmett and Miles. Remembered by his sister Doreen. Predeceased by his brother Raymond and his sisters Luella and Thelma.
Burke will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Monday August, 28, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, August, 29, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. (with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m.).
Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
A tree will be planted in memory of Burke in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:30 p.m.
