BARTON, Shirley Evelyn (nee Gooch)
Feb. 26, 1933 – April 24, 2017
Much cherished wife of George for over 63 happy years. Daughter of the late Gilbert and Dorothy Gooch of Long Branch, Ont. Loving mother of Lorene (Bryan), Beverley (Douglas), Patricia (Lawrence). Proud grandmother of Adrienne. Kimberley, Joanna, Devan, Sean, Valerie, Alexander and great-grandmother of Cailley and Cole. Loving sister of Ellen (deceased), Kent, Frances, Janice and Dorothy. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. For 14 years she was co-ordinator of the North York (Central) Meals-On-Wheels program.
The family would like to thank Dr. Catania and the staff at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville for the wonderful care given Shirley.
A sweet gentle soul has entered heaven.

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville, on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:30 p.m.
Memorial donations to charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

A tree will be planted in memory of Shirley in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
