Obituary for Harold Albert Carey

Carey, Harold (Harry) Albert
Former Orangeville resident Harold (Harry) Albert Carey, born October 24, 1929 in Georgetown, Ontario died of complications from living with Alzheimer’s on March 16, 2017 at Dufferin Oaks LTC in Shelburne, Ontario.
Since 1975 Harry was an active community member in Orangeville as the business owner of Darwen Office Supply along with his in-laws Russell and Helen Darwen. Harry was the past president and honorary member of the Orangeville Rotary Club, a lifetime member and President of the Orangeville Curling Club, and an avid golfer. Later in his life Harry and Iris spent much of their time in Florence, South Carolina enjoying the warmer climate that allowed for more golfing.
Harry is survived by his first wife Diane McLaren, his children Michael and Carrolyn, Cindy and Geoff, Christine and Mark, Nancy, Paul and Cara. His grandchildren Cleo, Blake, Erica, Emma, Ally, Rachel, Jack, and his four great grandchildren Adele, Rowan, Logan and Alexandra.
At his request, no service will be held. Instead, please join us for a Memorial Service in Celebration of Harry’s Life: on Friday April 28, 2017 from 1:00 -3:00 p.m. at the Orangeville Curling Club, 76 Fifth Ave., Orangeville Ontario
