Another story i recall about Carole is that she had a housekeeper who loved Maltese but never thought she would own one due to the expense.  Carole gave her one as a surpruse from one of her own litters - put it in a pretty basket.  The housekeeper was so happy and couldn't belueve she would ever own a real maltese.  Carole was a really fine person.  She got her happiness from making others happy.
