Major George Edward Prior (Salvation Army)
Promoted to Glory on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Marion Prior. Dear father of David and his wife Christine, Christine McGinnis and her husband Jon, Brian (1993), and Betty-Jean Kuzmack and her husband Larry. Cherished grandfather of Wayne, Sarah, Stephanie, Chad, and Brent. Predeceased by his sister Jean Brown and her husband Keith Brown. George will also be greatly missed by nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of George's Life will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First Street, Orangeville on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations to Salvation Army or Dufferin Oaks Activation Program would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of George in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
