Obituary for Brandon David Arnold

Arnold, Brandon David
With heavy and broken hearts, our family was forced to say goodbye to our dear little brother and beloved son Brandon yesterday morning. He was unfortunately found passed away at his home in Barrie where he was attending college on the morning of Thursday, February 4, 2016. It is suspected that he had a massive seizure during the night and due to his many health problems and complications with diabetes, he didn't make it and his young life was cut way too short.
Brandon had just celebrated his 20th birthday in January and had left home for the first time last fall to attend Georgian College with dreams of becoming a veterinarian technician. He loved animals, music, anime and was a near professional gamer.
Having both diabetes and Asperger's, Brandon had a rough go at things for most of his short life, spending an unfair amount of time in hospitals, but he always pushed through and persevered. Through it all, he always continued to be an advocate for people living with autism and diabetes and was doing his very best to overcome his issues and make the most of life.
He is deeply missed by his mother and step-father; Dana Darling-Frankruyter & John Frankruyter; his five brothers and sisters and their spouses; Justin & Stacey, Devon & Jarek, Jordan & Marc, Christopher & Tanya, Erin & Scott; his step- siblings Sean and Mary Frankruyter; his eleven nieces and nephews; Noah, Keira, Aliya, Simon, Sebastian, Gabriel, Cayden, Tysen, Layten, Preston & Brooklyn. His grandparents Joan and Allan Darling, Albert & Alice Frankruyter and all of the rest of the Darling-Frankruyter-Masciangelo family.
We would like to extend an invite to all of our friends and family to attend Brandon's Memorial Service and Reception at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville (519-941-1392) on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm. Reception to follow. Brandon was a very special young man and we would like to celebrate his life with all who can attend.
~ We love you very much and your memories will live on in our hearts forever ~
A tree will be planted in memory of Brandon in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.dodsandmcnair.com
