Condolence From: Orangeville BIA
Condolence: The Orangeville BIA was saddened to hear of the loss of Betty. As our feisty Town Crier, Betty always represented our town with world class skill and passion for her craft. She was an exceptional lady with a big voice and an even bigger heart. She will be sorely missed by everyone who had the good fortune to watch her in action in her duties as either as Town Crier or as Daisy the Witch; even more so by those of us that had the privilege of knowing her. Our thoughts are with Betty's family with the hope that there will be some comfort in knowing that her contribution to our community was greatly appreciated and will be long remembered.

Condolence From: The Green Family
Condolence: Dear Ron and family. We are so sorry to hear that Betty has passed away. Our family has very fond memories of camping with you and Betty at Selkirk and Rockpoint provincial parks. To this day we still laugh about Betty putting her wine in her tea pot to avoid detection by park officials. We remember the thanksgiving dinner around the picnic tables, the beautiful sunny fall weather, Betty's fudge, the running races with the kids. Thank you for these wonderful memories. Gord, Sue and Family

Condolence From: Gitta & Ken Mullally
Condolence: Dear Ron & Family - Betty could be counted on to enliven any gathering with her wonderful sense of fun. I especially remember our early days at the Car Plant, when I worked in Employee Services and Betty was next door in Payroll Services. Not many days went by without shared laughs. Betty was a talented actress, appearing in many local plays. When there were any official town events, there would be Betty looking resplendent as town crier and doing a tremendous job spreading the news. Betty certainly will be remembered most fondly by her former Ford colleagues. Please accept our deepest sympathy to you and your family for your loss. Gitta & Ken Mullally

Condolence: In my days in Vehicle Invoicing there wasn't a day without laughter. Betty kept the laughter and jokes flowing until quiting time and all through the weekend overtime. When my late wife drove school bus Betty treated her to a decorated cake in the shape of a school bus for her birthday. What wonderful member of the human race. Please accept our deepest sympathy

Condolence From: Crier Bruce & Lynn Kruger
Condolence: When I became a Town Crier in 2000, everyone in the Ontario Guild of Town Criers often spoke of a female Crier as though she had descended from the heavens above. Soon thereafter, I met this Crier Betty Kading and discovered that she was, in fact, divine, inspirational and above all, one of the most sincere and caring persons I have ever known. To her "White Knight" Ron and family, Lynn and I extend our deepest sympathy. We've had so much fun together and feel blessed to have known this angel, sent from above! Sincerely, Crier Bruce & Escort Lynn Kruger Town of Bracebridge, Muskoka

Condolence From: Chuck Heron
Condolence: To Ron and the rest of the family, I send my hugs to you the way Betty used to hug me. I will remember the twinkle in Betty's eyes and the strong sense of friendship and right in anything she did -- from the office at Ford to the Ford children's Christmas parties (where I remember her as a very ugly witch!), to the Town Crier roles in Oakville and Orangeville. God bless all of you!
